Striking madness

It is DS birthday today so I took him into town this morning. The Councils are on strike so the kids' school is closed. Town was mad...It is packed full of youngsters with nothing better to do and Parents who have had to take sickies at work to look after the kids for the day. DS wanted to spend his birthday money so it was trawling round all the gaming shops to find all the games he wanted.

In the first shop we only bumped into my sister (Ange) who is out looking for a game for him and then DD and her friend turned up too. Later on we bumped into sis yet again as she still hadn't found anything decent.

It really was a nightmare getting round town. This is the reason I hate going on a Saturday. There was a big strike rally in the marketplace.
